Inclusives
The RAID Package
Lodging
Decades on the road have taught us where to stay — and where not to. We hand-pick every property for character and authenticity, so it feels like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home, not dropped into another generic hotel.
All RAID trips include double-occupancy lodging unless otherwise noted. Prefer your own space? Single rooms are available for a supplemental fee. In Japan, many traditional ryokan encourage communal living; rooms are often spacious, designed for sharing. We invite you to embrace that spirit — same-sex roommate pairings are available, and often lead to deeper connections on the road.
Transportation
We handle transfers whenever it makes sense. When it doesn’t, we’ll arm you with a short list of the fastest, cleanest, and most reliable local options.
On Japan Alps departures, airport pick-up in Tokyo and return to Osaka (KIX) are not included — but Japan’s transport network is world-class, and we’ll help you find the option that best fits your schedule.
Support
Every RAID trip runs with full SAG (Support And Gear) — mechanical help, ride nutrition, hydration, and a vehicle in the wings when you need it.
We stock the van with everything from trusted performance products to our own handmade snacks. Have a dietary need? We’ll do everything possible to accommodate, though in Japan some requests may not be feasible due to cultural and local limits.
And if you can’t finish a stage, no shame — the van will get you safely to the day’s end, so you can recover and be ready to ride tomorrow.
Bicycles
We don’t provide bikes, but we’ll connect you with trusted partners who rent high-quality, trip-ready machines. Rental costs are separate, but we’ll walk you through the process.
Bringing your own? Our mechanics will assemble and fine-tune it at the start. Standard cases or bags work fine, and shipping is possible on most domestic routes (not international).
Either way, rental or your own rig, you’ll be set for every mile of RAID.
Dining
Most meals are included, planned to showcase the best food of the region, with select opportunities to explore on your own. Hosted meals include drinks — a starter cocktail, shared bottles of wine, and always enough to toast the day.
And at day’s end, a cold beer will be waiting. Because every great ride deserves a finish worthy of the effort.
