A bicycle born of place.

Made in the toughest place on earth, for the toughest rides on earth.

Namibia isn’t scenery. It’s pressure—hard light, vast distance, quiet gravel that exposes weakness fast. This is a land that demands intent, and rewards those who come prepared.

For our Namibia expedition, RAID + ONGUZA are offering something singular. Confirmed guests are invited to work directly with Dan Craven and the Onguza team to create a fully custom gravel bike, hand-built in Namibia and designed specifically for these roads, this journey, this place. Not a catalogue frame. Not a web-store colorway. A machine shaped by where you ride.

The foundation is ONGUZA’s Bliksem!—a fast, fillet-brazed steel gravel platform, race-proven and built for heat, dust, and endless distance. Geometry, clearance, and components are refined by builders who ride this terrain every day, then finished with an exclusive RAID detail.

Here’s the difference: your bike is delivered to your RAID fully built, professionally prepped, and ready to ride. Every bike is assembled and dialed in-house by the Onguza team—fit checked, bottle cages mounted, spares and bosses sorted, tires set up, and every detail squared away. You arrive in Namibia, clip in, and ride.

This isn’t a transaction—it’s a collaboration. Before the trip, a limited number of riders begin a direct conversation with Dan and the workshop about fit, intent, and how the bike will live long after Namibia. Then you meet the people who built it—and put it to work where it belongs.

RAID believes place matters. Onguza proves it—locally built, community owned, obsessively crafted, and made for distance, durability, and decades on the road. This bike doesn’t just come from Namibia. It carries it.

Availability is limited to confirmed RAID Namibia guests only. Twenty-four bikes. Individually numbered.

Some bikes are bought. This one is earned.
