This evening, we will gather at Aji no Yohei, one of Takayama’s beloved local restaurants, for a traditional set-menu dinner showcasing the region’s world-famous Hida beef.

Raised in the Japanese Alps, Hida beef is renowned for its exceptional marbling, remarkable tenderness and rich, buttery flavour. Thoughtfully prepared using local ingredients and time-honoured techniques, the meal offers an authentic taste of Gifu Prefecture and a memorable introduction to Takayama’s culinary traditions.

Vegetarian guests will receive a specially prepared set menu featuring seasonal, locally sourced vegetarian dishes. A discreet place card will be positioned at each vegetarian guest’s setting to help the restaurant team provide the correct menu.
